Berry Yoghurt Crunch

I love this easy breakfast for the kids on a school morning. So much better than sugar-laden cereal! Throw in strawberries, blueberries, organic Greek yoghurt and some silvered almonds for the ‘crunch’. Yum! It’s a great breakfast option, especially when you are in a hurry. Packed with antioxidants to keep you fighting fit, vitamins, minerals and protein this smoothie also helps to make sure you start the day wide awake – without the caffeine! Looking pretty good to me!

Serves: 2  Prep: 5 min  Cook:

  • 1-1.5 punnets strawberries – packed with antioxidants (like vitamin C) and fibre. They are great for immunity and wrinkle prevention
  • 1 punnet blueberries – also packed with antioxidants and fibre, but also manganese, which is important for bone development and converting carbohydrates and fat into energy (loving that!)
  • 1 cup yoghurt – contains ‘good-for-you’ bacteria and is loaded with vitamins and minerals. Great for smoothing the skin and stomach.
  • 1 tablespoon almonds – loaded with vitamins, minerals, protein and fibre. Provide relief from constipation and promote healthy hair, skin and teeth!

Seriously, it takes 3 minutes to put this together. You can play around with the quantities that suit your taste buds! Yum!
